Samsung now officially presented The Frame once again. In spring, the unconventional, minimalist, and yet surprisingly stylish device will appear. But what exactly is that? The responsible designer Yves Béhar with his company Fuseproject actually realized a digital picture frame (very similar to the large-format digital photo frames that you can buy from https://www.digitalframe0.com), which you can also mount on the wall or alternatively place on a studio tripod. But what is the point of all this?
The Frame is more than a picture frame
If The Frame is switched to the so-called Art Mode, the picture frame presents over 100 paintings, photos, and works of art, which are divided into ten categories. Landscapes, architecture, action scenes, and other themes are taken up here. If you want, you can even change the frame in order to be able to present the correct look to match your own four walls or virtual paintings. Various types of wood are available, which are attached and removed via magnetism.
Invisible cables
If you don’t feel like claiming, you switch to TV mode and watch TV normally. The highlight here should be the own statements according to invisible connection, so you do not recognize cables and the like. So it looks like the HDTV just hangs on the wall – like a picture. It could hardly be more discreet.

Conclusion
Presumably, there will be several sizes of The Frame, but Samsung does not reveal any details yet. It is quite possible that the new QLED technology will be used, a 4K resolution is not unlikely. Either way: For my taste, The Frame is very exciting. After all these decades with grey, black or white boxes, I would really like such an inconspicuous solution. But this concept will not be one thing above all: cheap. However, the Koreans do not yet communicate prices.
